Being just less than 3km away from my place, I surprisingly was just aware of this coffee shop last week when I passed by it and recognized there’s a building I usually didn’t see. It looked catchy from outside with fancy lighting I could spot via its gigantic glass windows. Browsing to find more info, I then figured out it’s just opened in October.
Despite occupying a two-storey building, the cafe itself was only taking the first floor. However, worry not as the space was quite huge. Super in love with that high ceiling, decorated with hanging lamps. It didn’t look like common coffee shops design lately, but it successfully delivered its own uniqueness. The play of patterns reminded me of beautiful collage I was so excited about in art classes; well somehow odd analogy but true!
Dirty Earl (IDR 38k)
They seemed to be coffee specialist looking at the selections of menu provided. Nonetheless, this time I wasn’t up for it as I guess I had had too much already. Finding out they’re serving London Fog, I was delighted to try their version. It’s going beyond the mainstream line as they made it ‘dirty’ one, adding chocolate as additional mixer.
Being the lovers of both chocolate and London Fog, turned out I also fell for the combination. None of the two overwhelmed the other element, and instead they blended in quite well. I wasn’t sure if the chocolate here being the sweetener to the overall cup or they had extra sugar added, but all I knew the taste just suited me well!
Iced Sunset Tea (IDR 32k)
This send drink belonged to my sister who’s up to something refreshing. I might not be able to perfectly called out what were the ingredients I had in my glass, but I obviously could taste tea and oranges on my palate. It’s a pleasant combination if you’re bored of generic mix of tea and lemon only.
Mushroom Quiche (IDR 30k)
Being there late afternoon, it created the dilemma of eating heavy meals or going for light ones, just like the tummy being hungry-no hungry. Not wanting to follow the ‘mind-hunger’, I went for the pastries only, but taking extra portion by picking both savory and sweet. First to land was the mushroom quiche (despite I actually wanted the smoked beef more but it’s run out of stocks).
Despite it contained no meat, it’s surprisingly flavorful with generous amount of big mushroom chunks. The pastry base itself was nice with soft crumbling texture and buttery aroma. For me, this slice was best to enjoy with chili sauce as the spiciness hint simply made it ended up better.
Hailey Bailey (IDR 45k)
Holy moly Hailey Bailey! An addict to cake, a lame to Bailey’s; well yeah, who else than me? So what’s about this cake? For sure I needn’t think twice of having it on my dining table. Presented in moist and creamy texture, the cake was so delectable especially the bold Bailey’s flavor it featured. Somehow the layers made it looked like Tiramisu, but seriously this went beyond, and my premiere trial got me hitched! The cake seemed to take it seriously when saying they’re featuring Bailey’s, and I was such happy customer having it. MUST MUST TRY!
Only having my short afternoon chillin’ session in Sositi and getting pleased by both the service and the foods, I would say I’m looking forward to the next ones!
